On 22nd March 2023 We were happy to have amongst us Prof. Chanchala K Naik, (former Professor and Dean, English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad). For over 40 years, Professor Naik has taught English and Communication to Indian and Foreign students from around the world.
In her interactive talk about the ‘Importance of Communication for Health Care Providers’, Prof Naik spoke at length about verbal-non verbal communication, the need for compassionate, empathetic, clear communication and the various regional, age-related and cultural connotations to communication. She also encouraged to students to speak without hesitation as someone’s life depends on their thoughts and actions.
