Samarpan Institute Of Nursing And Paramedical Sciences organise Mental Illness Awareness Week (October 5-11, 2025), communities across the country come together to break stigma and strengthen support for mental health.
This year’s theme, Building Community: Supporting Mental Well-being Together, reminds us that caring for our minds is not a solitary act. It’s something we do in connection with one .The theme highlights the need for collective efforts to improve care, understanding, and support for individuals living.And the day is celebrated under the guidance of Mental Health Department Mr. Satish Sharma,Miss Aakanksha Srivastava and Miss. Divya Mishra with the batch of Bsc.5th semester,6th semester and GNM 2nd Year.




Samarpan Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences Organised Mental Health Awareness Week
Samarpan Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Lucknow, observed Mental Health Awareness Week under the guidance of the Mental Health Department — Mr. Satish kumar Sharma, Miss Divya Mishra and Akansha Srivastava, — with the participation of B.Sc. Nursing 5th Semester students.
The theme of the week was "community , emphasizing the importance of connection belonging,and support system for mental well - being" . The activities aimed to promote understanding, compassion, and awareness about mental well-being among students and the community.
The objectives of the celebration included:
Raising awareness about the importance of mental health for all.
Reducing stigma and misconceptions related to mental illness.
Encouraging open conversations about stress, anxiety, and emotional well-being.
Promoting healthy coping strategies and self-care habits.
Supporting early identification and intervention for mental health issues.
Various activities such as rallies, seminar,poster presentations, awareness talks, and community interactions were organized to spread the message that mental health is equally important as physical health. The event encouraged everyone to take proactive steps toward a balanced and positive state of mind.
