Seminar on "Emerging Threats to Safety"

On 5 January 2026, an awareness seminar on Digital Arrest, Sexual Harassment, and Financial Arrest was organized to educate students and staff about cyber safety, legal awareness, and financial security in the digital era. The programme began with a welcome address and theme introduction by the Principal, who emphasized the growing importance of awareness regarding digital crimes and social issues. After the welcome, the Honorable Chairman, Prof. Dr. R. S. Dubey Sir, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of such seminars in today’s society, stressing the need for knowledge, vigilance, and responsible digital behavior, while also sharing his own experiences to motivate and guide the participants. The technical sessions then followed, starting with Mr. Dhananjay Singh and his team, who explained the concept of digital arrest in detail, including types of cyber frauds, methods used by criminals, real-life examples, and preventive measures. This was followed by a comprehensive session on sexual harassment by Ms. Neha, who covered all aspects such as various forms of harassment, legal rights and provisions, preventive strategies, and proper reporting mechanisms. The seminar further included an informative session on financial arrest by Ms. Manisha and Mr. Ankit, who discussed financial cybercrimes, online scams, banking frauds, precautionary measures, and legal remedies. The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Vice Principal Prof. Anamika, expressing gratitude to the speakers, Chairman, Principal, faculty members, organizers, and participants for making the programme successful.
