The much-awaited Sports Week at Samarpan Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Lucknow commenced with great enthusiasm and excitement. The event began with the flaming of the mashal (torch lighting) and a ribbon-cutting ceremony by our esteemed Chairman, Dr. R. S. Dubey Sir. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dr. Dipti Shukla Ma’am, Principal of SINPS, and Dr. Neeraj Verma Sir, Principal of SOP, who encouraged the participants with their motivating words.
The day was packed with thrilling competitions, with students divided into four houses – Red House, Yellow House, Blue House, and Green House – all striving for victory in a display of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The eventful day began with the 100-meter race for both boys and girls, where athletes showcased their speed and determination. This was followed by the 400-meter relay race, which tested the endurance and coordination of the teams.
Adding a fun element, the lemon and spoon race required balance and focus, while the octopus race brought laughter and excitement as students tackled this unique challenge.
The field events featured impressive performances in the javelin throw and discus throw, where participants displayed strength, technique, and precision.
For those with a strategic mindset, the chess tournament provided an engaging and intellectual contest, while the face painting competition highlighted the artistic and creative talents of the students.
As the first day concluded, winners were announced, and the enthusiasm among the students remained high. The competition between Red, Yellow, Blue, and Green Houses is fierce, and the excitement for the upcoming events continues to build.
