“Swasth Nari, Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan”

Samarpan Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Lucknow


On behalf of “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Pariwar Abhiyan” – a Ministry of Health and Family Welfare initiative programme in collaboration with Poshan Maah (17th September 2025 to 2nd October 2025).


Objective:


  • To promote community awareness on Nikshay Mitra initiative.


  • To strengthen early Tuberculosis (TB) screening and prevention.


  • To empower students as health educators in schools and community settings.

Programme Details:


The institute organized an Awareness Programme on Nikshay Mitra and Tuberculosis Screening at Rastriya Udyog Ye Inter College, Matiyari, Lucknow. Students actively engaged in health education by preparing and presenting posters and charts in different classes of the school.


The presentations covered:


  • Causes of Tuberculosis (TB)


  • Risk Factors leading to infection


  • Clinical Features and early warning signs


  • Diagnostic Tests available for TB detection


  • Screening Methods to identify cases at the community level


  • Prevention, Control, and Awareness Measures to reduce disease burden




This initiative not only enhanced community awareness but also encouraged students to apply their theoretical knowledge into practice. The programme strengthened the message that early screening, timely diagnosis, and proper treatment are the key to a TB-free society.


Such activities reflect the institute’s commitment to creating socially responsible health professionals who contribute actively towards a healthier nation.
